The Birth Plan by Numinest app icon: a winding path rising toward a star.

Numinest LLC · Michigan

A birth plan that actually fits on one page.

Numinest makes small, private iOS apps for expecting and new parents. Our first app walks you through the decisions worth thinking about before labor — then prints them as a single clear page your care team can read at a glance.

Birth Plan by Numinest

Most birth plans are three pages nobody reads.

A midwife scanning your notes between contractions has about fifteen seconds. A birth plan only works if the important things are visible in that fifteen seconds — which means the hard part isn't writing it, it's deciding what earns a place on the page.

Birth Plan by Numinest is the guided version of that process. It asks you the questions a good prenatal class would ask, explains the terms you haven't met before in plain language, and lets you say “I don't mind” as often as you like. Then it lays your answers out as one printable page — preferences first, the rest condensed underneath.

Guided, not blank

Every question comes with a short explanation of what's actually being asked, so you're never guessing at terminology mid-form.

One page, by design

The output is a single sheet built to be read quickly under pressure — not a document that gets filed and forgotten.

Room to be unsure

“No strong preference” is a valid answer throughout. A plan is a starting point for a conversation, not a contract.

Hospital bag checklist

The other list you'll want on paper, generated alongside your plan.

How it works

  1. Answer at your own paceWork through the sections whenever you have ten minutes. Everything saves as you go, on your device.
  2. Review the summarySee your whole plan at once and change your mind as often as you want — nothing is final until you print it.
  3. Print or share the one-pagerExport a clean single page for your hospital bag, your partner, and your notes.
  4. Talk it through with your providerThe page is designed to be handed over and discussed. That conversation is the point.

Privacy

No accounts. No data collection. It stays on your phone.

A birth plan contains some of the most personal information you will ever write down. We decided the simplest way to protect it was to never receive it in the first place.

  • There is no sign-up, no login, and no user account.
  • Your answers are stored on your device and are not transmitted to us or anyone else.
  • No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers.
  • Nothing to delete from our servers, because there is nothing on them.

About Numinest

Numinest LLC is an independent software company registered in Michigan, United States. It was started by a filmmaker who went looking for a decent birth plan tool while his wife was pregnant, found forms and PDFs and apps that wanted an account, and built the thing he had wanted instead.

We build a small number of apps for a specific stretch of life — pregnancy, birth, and the first months after — and we try to make each of them calm, quick to use, and private by construction rather than by promise.

Questions, press, or partnership: hello@numinest.com. We read everything.

Not medical advice

Birth Plan by Numinest is an organizational tool, not a medical service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for the guidance of your midwife, obstetrician, or other qualified health professional. Always discuss your birth preferences with your care team — and know that plans change, often for good reasons.
